practice makes perfect!?

i love love love my new camera.

in one day of torturing my poor children and their friends, i figured out how to actually focus on things.
focusing is a pretty useful technique!

i tried some portraits, action shots, nature and some other shots that i don't know what to call.

in an attempt to make some of my fotos look artistic, but with limited software, i edited everything.   this is just way too much fun!!!

all three of these fotos are from my second "shoot"

kierstyn is only screaming in one...so far!  she got pretty sick of me, pretty quick.

 

i love the whole subject in the front, blurry background thing.  nature is so beautiful. the outdoor lighting is perfect.  and the green, green grass is dead, but "edited".

i think i'm going to wear my camera out in the spring!

i took the camera to my kids' baseball practice in hopes of figuring out how to get a great action shot, but quite frankly there wasn't much action going on.
so i practiced some editing.
